Part 150 Noise Study Update: Open Houses and Draft Noise Exposure Maps
The Naples Airport Authority recently held public open houses to share information on the Draft Noise Exposure Map Update, part of the ongoing Part 150 Noise Study being conducted to evaluate the noise compatibility of the Naples Airport with the surrounding communities.
Both a virtual and in-person option for the open houses were provided due to COVID-19 health and safety considerations. The open houses included a 20-minute presentation with information on the Part 150 Study process, an introduction to noise exposure maps, and next steps.
As required by 14 CFR Part 150, the Draft Noise Exposure Map Update was prepared to depict the airport, noise contours and land use. The draft NEMs are available for public review and comment online and at the below locations until June 9 (all comments must be received or postmarked by June 9). Printed copies of the NEMs and accompanying NEM Report will be available for review during normal hours at the locations listed below. Comments on the Draft NEMs may be submitted here or mailed to the Naples Airport Authority, C/O Part 150 Study, 160 Aviation Dr. N., Naples, FL 34104. After review and consideration of comments, NAA will submit the NEMs to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for the agency’s determination that the maps comply with applicable requirements.
