2023 Annual Report Highlights

We are thrilled to present the 2023 Noise Compatibility Committee (NCC) Annual Report. The report focuses on our two main objectives throughout the past year: the finalization of the Part 150 Noise and Land Use Compatibility Study, and the promotion of the Fly Safe, Fly Quiet (FSFQ) program. Part 150 Noise Study

• Submitted Part 150 Noise Study to FAA: In FY 2023, the NAA submitted the airport’s fourth Part 150 Noise Study to the FAA for review.
• 60 Outreach Meetings and Events: The NAA and NCC have held over 60 outreach meetings and events in FY 2023, including eight public meetings and hearings – offered in-person and virtually – related to the Part 150 Noise Study.

Fly Safe, Fly Quiet Program

• 98.7% Voluntary Nighttime Curfew Compliance Rate: Compliance with the voluntary nighttime curfew remains among the highest in the nation. In cases where operations occur during curfew hours, the NAA contacts operators directly to emphasize the significance of minimizing flights during curfew hours.
• 37% Reduction in Community Noise Comments: The efforts of the NAA and NCC have successfully reduced community noise comments by 37%. The NAA reached out to all noise commenters to address their concerns.
