Naples Airport Authority and City of Naples Workshop
on September 29, 2021
— Part 150 Noise and Master Plan Studies —
The Naples Airport Authority (NAA) continues to work with local, state and federal stakeholders on two planning studies — Part 150 Noise and Master Plan — intended to both provide an airport that meets the community’s needs and strives to mitigate noise impacts to the extent possible.
The Airport Authority is currently completing the first phase of the Part 150 Noise Study, including completion of the Noise Exposure Map Report. The second half of the study — the Noise Compatibility Program — is scheduled to begin later this year. A Part 150 Study is the best way to work with the Federal Aviation Administration, the agency which is ultimately responsible for approving any operational or airspace changes to enhance noise abatement. Learn more about the study here.
An airport Master Plan is a forward-looking, planning document that addresses how the airport will reinvest into infrastructure and facilities to serve current and projected customer needs. This will be the Naples Airport’s first completed master plan in over 20 years. More details about the master plan can be found here.
A joint workshop of the Naples City Council and the NAA Board of Commissioners is scheduled on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at 9:00 a.m., to update the Council and public on the ongoing Part 150 Noise Study and the Master Plan. Community members are invited and encouraged to attend
The workshop will be held at the River Park Community Center, 301 11th St N., Naples, FL 34102.
The meeting agenda can be viewed here. (NOTE: the meeting date was changed to September 29 at 9:00 a.m. from September 16 at 1:00 p.m. so attendees can observe the Yom Kippur holiday).
