The Naples Airport Authority (NAA) is pleased to welcome Michelle Arnold and Ralph Alberto as the newest members of its Board of Commissioners. Appointed by the Naples City Council, Michelle joined the Board in Nov. 2025, followed by Ralph in Dec. 2025. Both commissioners bring valuable experience, longstanding ties to Naples and a strong commitment to public service that will support the Authority’s mission of safe and efficient airport operations.
The NAA Board of Commissioners is comprised of five citizen volunteers, each appointed to four-year terms. The Board is responsible for providing policy direction, strategic oversight and long-term guidance for Naples Airport, ensuring it continues to serve the region effectively and resiliently.
Welcome, Michelle Arnold
Michelle Arnold joins the Board with more than three decades of experience in public service and community leadership. A Naples resident for over 30 years, Michelle spent much of her career with Collier County in senior leadership roles focused on transportation, planning and neighborhood services.
From 2008 to 2023, Michelle served as director of Public Transit and Neighborhood Enhancement for Collier County, where she oversaw the county’s transit system and managed multiple Municipal Service Taxing Units. Her work supported projects that improved safety, reliability and neighborhood infrastructure throughout the community.
Earlier in her career, Michelle held leadership roles in code enforcement, comprehensive planning and housing, as well as serving as assistant to the county manager. In addition to her professional background, she has been actively involved with several nonprofit and civic organizations, including St. Matthew’s House, Youth Haven, Hospice of Naples and the David Lawrence Center, and currently serves on the Citizen’s Advisory Committee for the Collier Metropolitan Planning Organization.
Welcome, Ralph Alberto
Ralph Alberto brings a strong business background and a history of civic involvement to the Board. A Naples resident for more than 17 years, Ralph has been engaged in the community through leadership and volunteer service.
His community involvement includes serving on the Royal Harbor Homeowners Association Board and participating on the boards of local charitable efforts including the nonprofit organizations Naples Take a Soldier Fishing and Ducks Unlimited.
Ralph brings over 30 years of experience in the business aviation industry. His lengthy background includes leadership roles in propulsion engine design and project engineering, customer service, business management and sales. In his most recent role, Ralph provides consulting services to help his clients manage complex maintenance, logistics and financial elements pertaining to a propulsion engine shop event.
Ralph is also a member of the National Business Aviation Association, providing him with insight into aviation-related issues and the general aviation community. As a commissioner, Ralph brings a practical, business-minded perspective that will support thoughtful decision-making and long-term planning for the airport.
