– Byron Gray will direct and plan all activities for Naples Aviation –
NAPLES, Fla. (Dec. 16, 2021) – The Naples Airport Authority is pleased to announce Byron Gray as the new Director of FBO Services for the airport’s fixed base operator, Naples Aviation. In the newly created position, Byron will direct and plan all FBO activities, including customer relations, aircraft servicing, ground handling, office/flight support facilities and ramp management associated with flight activities.
Byron has more than two decades of success and experience in the general aviation industry. Most recently the National Sales Manager for a national fuel supplier, he has also held leadership positions in several internationally known FBO chains.
“We are delighted to add Byron to our team,” said Chris Rozansky, executive director of the Naples Airport Authority. “His experience directly overseeing individual fixed base operators as well as being part of national FBO chains will help him strategically guide Naples Aviation into future success and provide our customers with the exceptional airport experience they’ve come to expect from Naples Aviation.”
Byron stepped into the role in December, as the Naples Airport Authority completes its $7 million general aviation terminal remodel. Byron and his wife have lived in Naples since 2018 and he looks forward to serving the local aviation community at the Naples Airport.
Home to flight schools, air charter operators, car rental agencies, and corporate aviation and non-aviation businesses, Naples Airport is also a central location for public services, including fire/rescue services, mosquito control, the Collier County Sheriff’s Aviation Unit and other community services. Naples Airport is ideally located within minutes of downtown Naples, the Gulf of Mexico and I-75.
All funds used for the airport’s operation, maintenance and improvements are generated from activities at the airport or federal and state grants from aviation-related user fees. The airport receives no local tax dollars. The Florida Department of Transportation values the airport’s annual economic impact to the community at more than $440 million.
