NAA Staff Participate in Leadership Collier Programs
The NAA is proud to announce that several staff members are partaking in Leadership Collier Programs through the Greater Naples Chamber. The leadership programs provide hands-on experiences and exclusive behind-the-scenes sessions to emerging leaders and professionals in Collier County. NAA Director of Operations and Maintenance Barry Brown is a part of the Leadership Collier class of 2023 while NAA Communications Manager Zachary Burch and Assistant Manager of Customer Service Michael Nan are part of the Associate Leadership Collier Class of 2023.
“The Associate Leadership Collier Program provides me with an opportunity to learn from community leaders in various fields and to network with my classmates from a broad spectrum of industries within the County,” explained Michael Nan. “I hope to take the lessons learned from this experience and look for ways to improve both the airport and the community as a whole.”
The Leadership Collier program gives participants the opportunity to explore the county’s government, education, economic development, the arts and more. This program is a great opportunity to learn from experienced area leaders about the county’s challenges and opportunities.
About Naples Airport
Naples Airport is ideally located within minutes of downtown Naples, the Gulf of Mexico and I-75, connecting people to the Paradise Coast through an exceptional airport experience. The airport serviced over 122,000 annual operations in the last fiscal year, while being an engaged, responsive partner to the community. Home to flight schools, air charter operators, car rental agencies, and corporate aviation and non-aviation businesses, the airport is also a central location for public services, including fire/rescue services, mosquito control, the Collier County Sheriff’s Aviation Unit and other community services. The airport also prides itself on being the hub of emergency staging during natural disasters, like hurricanes and tornadoes, for first responders, lighting, and power crews.
All funds used for the airport’s operation, maintenance and improvements are generated from activities at the airport or federal and state grants from aviation-related user fees. The airport receives no local tax dollars. The Florida Department of Transportation values the airport’s annual economic impact to the community at $781 million.
