Getting Their Feet Wet for a Good, Clean Cause
— The NAA Team Volunteers to Clean Up the Coast
to Keep Collier Beautiful —
The Paradise Coast is aptly named for its beauty, scenery, and clean and relaxed living. Keeping the coast sparkling for both locals and visitors to enjoy is everyone’s responsibility, and is the reason why Naples Airport employees volunteered their time on September 18 to clean up the beach area at the Naples Pier.
Organized by Keep Collier Beautiful, Collier County residents were asked to join in this annual International Coastal Cleanup event. Team Naples Airport — NAA employees and their family members — responded to the call.
“Team NAA was pleased to collectively volunteer 36 hours on Saturday morning to clean up the Naples Pier beach and help make a positive impact on this beautiful and iconic landmark,” said Virginia Bendle, director of human resources for the Naples Airport Authority, and an event participant. “We all left the event grateful and with a deep satisfaction for what the airport team and the other participants achieved together,” she continued.
This signature event brings together volunteers from countries around the world to remove trash and debris from waterways that lead to our oceans. Learn how you can donate your time and resources to Keep Collier Beautiful here.
