Naples Airport’s profile shows on-airport impacts of $141,584,000 and visitor spending impacts of $89,986,000. With multiplier effects of $208,603,000 and total payroll of $152,296,000, the total economic impact (or output) of Naples Airport is calculated at $440,173,000 annually.
This is a 43% increase from FDOT’s previous valuation of Naples Airport’s annual economic impact of $283.5 million.
An update of the Florida Statewide Aviation Economic Impact Study conducted by FDOT began in October 2016 and completed in March 2019. The FDOT report provides the estimated annual economic impact associated with 20 commercial service airports, 100 public-use general aviation airports, and in addition, 11 military aviation facilities on the economy of the State of Florida. This study includes economic impacts of various on-airport and off-airport aviation related activities. Economic benefits in this study are expressed as direct, indirect, and induced (multiplier) impacts. For each of these measures, economic benefits are expressed in terms of total annual economic activity (output), employments, and payroll (earnings).
