Connecting with our Community at
Two Recent Part 150 Study Meetings
The Naples Airport Authority is conducting a federal Part 150 Noise Study to evaluate the impacts of aircraft noise exposure and identify potential noise compatibility measures. Two recent public meetings allowed NAA staff to connect with our community and receive feedback on the Part 150 Noise Study and the recommendations received so far.
Joint NCC/TAC Meeting – March 30
At a joint meeting of the Noise Compatibility Committee and the Technical Advisory Committee on March 30, NAA staff updated the committees about the ongoing Part 150 study. Held at the Collier County Growth Management Department, NCC and TAC members were presented with over 100 noise abatement, land use and programmatic suggestions that have been proposed during the study so far.Â
The committee members also participated in live polling in order to begin the process of prioritizing the suggestions. 14 members of the public spoke and their comments can be viewed beginning at the 16:18 (part one) and 2:16:57 (part two) minute mark of the video. Meeting materials and a video of the meeting can be viewed here.
Naples City Council Presentation – April 4
On April 4, Chris Rozansky, Executive Director of the NAA and Mike Arnold of ESA presented an update on the Part 150 Study to the Naples City Council. The Council and public had the opportunity to ask questions and provide input on the study and future of the airport.Â
View the Council meeting here (the NAA presentation begins at the 36:20 minute mark). Eight individuals spoke in the public comment portion, which begins approximately 1:57:00 into the meeting.
