Here are some ways to help keep your hangar, your aircraft and your neighbors safe

  • Keep hangar orderly at all times
  • Label and properly store flammable materials in anti-flammable storage cabinets.
  • Keep all combustible items at least 36 inches away from electrical panels.
  • Dispose of any used oil and other liquids at the appropriate recycle locations.
  • Keep exit doors clearly marked, lighted and unobstructed.
  • Prior to leaving for the season make sure your hangar is free from any potential fire inspection violations.
  • Check exit signs and fire extinguisher monthly to ensure proper operation.
  • Review inspection reports from Naples Fire-Rescue annual fire inspections and correct violations in a timely manner.

For Private Condo Owners:

  • Have the fire alarm, fire extinguisher and sprinklers inspected by a licensed contractor annually and work with them to complete any necessary repairs.
  • Apply for approval with NAA Leasing and attain a permit before doing any construction.
  • Review inspection reports from Naples Fire-Rescue annual fire inspections and correct violations in a timely manner.
