ARFF Partnership to Continue for Five More Years
The Naples Airport will continue our long-standing partnership with the Naples Fire Department to staff the ARFF. The interlocal agreement with the City of Naples to staff the ARFF station at the airport for another 5 years was approved by the NAA Board of Commissioners at a recent board meeting.
The award-winning station was constructed in 2020 and is located on Tower Drive at the southern end of Runway 5/23. The six full-time Naples Fire-Rescue firefighters staff based at the ARFF not only respond to issues at the airport, but emergencies in nearby neighborhoods as well.
Additionally, the airport contributes over $1 million annually to the community by funding the staffing, vehicles, and station at no cost to taxpayers. Â This includes the new ARFF truck that went into service earlier this year
This agreement continues the partnership that Naples Airport has with the City of Naples to provide lifesaving fire rescue service, both at the airport and in the surrounding community.
