In 2023, the NAA Board of Commissioners initiated a study to assess the feasibility of establishing a new airport in Collier County. Prompted by factors such as noise concerns, anticipated county growth, and limitations on the current airport property, the study aims to identify potential new airport sites through a comprehensive analysis. The NAA is committed to keeping the community informed as the study progresses.
On May 16, 2024, the NAA Board of Commissioners received a presentation at their regular meeting of updated information as the study progressed (available below). A more detailed report is expected to be discussed by the Board at their August 15, 2024, regular meeting, which is also available below.
