- NAA Noise Compatibility Committee recommended to the Naples Airport Authority a ban on all Stage 2 jet operations - 24 hours
July 1999
- Part 150 Update (Phase I) begins (NEM Update and Airport Activity Forecast Update) to study Stage 2 operational issues
- Development and implementation of long-term recurrent noise monitoring program. Reports are included in the Quarterly Noise Report Summary
January 2000
- Part 161 Study (Phase II) begins to review alternatives to the restriction of Stage 2 aircraft
May 2000
- NEM Update completed and submitted to FAA

- Public Forums held with local residents and aircraft operators
- Thousands of notices mailed to aircraft owners and extensive advertising effort implemented

- NAA staff meets with FAA (Washington) to review Stage 2 restriction alternatives

- NAA staff meet again with FAA to review their comments on our study

- NAA adopts by resolution the proposed use restriction banning all Stage 2 jet aircraft from operating at Naples, with the exception of Air Ambulance and valid emergency operations
